Storyteller Nancy K. Wallace is a youth services coordinator at Ellwood City Area Public Library. In addition to establishing the Puppetry Program, which incorporates acting and creative writing, she moderates three book discussion groups and a teen Creative Writing Critique Group. Wallace was also instrumental in establishing the Ellwood City Storytelling Festival.
Wallace reviews young adult fantasy and nonfiction for VOYA, the same magazine that has published several of her articles on young adult programming. She is also a frequent contributor to LibrarySparks magazine, Highlights, and Highlights High Five.
After earning a BA in English literature, Wallace received her library certification from Northampton College. Under her direction, her library has received five Best Practice Awards, which honor excellence in Library Early Learning Programming, and a David J. Roberts EXCEL Library Service Award from the Pennsylvania Library Association, of which she is a member. A former kindergarten teacher, Wallace and her husband were founding members of the Ellwood City Area Historical Society. They live in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania, in a 135 year old farmhouse.
