About the Narrator
Steven L. Layne serves as director of the Master of Education in Literacy program at Judson University in Elgin, Illinois, where he is also a professor of literacy education. A respected literacy consultant and keynote speaker, Layne has received numerous awards, including the Milken Family Foundation’s Educator Award for excellence in education. His collection of Pelican books includes several titles in the Night Before Christmas Series, including The Teachers’ Night Before Christmas and The Principal’s Night Before Christmas; the gift books Verses for Dad’s Heart and Verses for Mom’s Heart; several picture books, such as My Brother Dan’s Delicious and Love the Baby, also available on CD; and the young adult thriller Mergers. He lives with his wife and their four children in Illinois.
