Through determination and hard work, Tiger Woods has combated racism, excelled in school, and golfed his way into the history books.
Tiger is a role model because of his dedication and focus, both on the golf course and in the classroom. Following Tiger's example means setting priorities, learning the importance of family, and giving back to the community.
By reading the exciting exploits of a four-year-old tournament player who grew up to be the youngest golfer ever to win the prestigious Masters Tournament, children learn that they, too, can achieve their dreams. Tiger's life demonstrates that some things, such as self-discipline and courage in the face of adversity, are more important than winning.
In addition to learning from Tiger's example, children will learn golf's unique vocabulary from the book's handy glossary.
