Ralph de Toledano died at age ninety. His Pelican books were Frontiers of Jazz (9781565540439, $13.95 pb), an important critical work, and Apocrypha of Limbo (9781565540668, $14.95), a book of poetry. He was among the last surviving members of the founding era of American Conservatism and is best known for exposing Alger Hiss as a Soviet spy. His book Seeds of Treason was confirmed by the Soviet files after the fall of communism. |
