Noteworthy Events

On December 4, the Conover, NC, police will protect and serve while they gift-wrap. Officer Michael D. Harrison, author of Cop’s Night Before Christmas ($16.99), and some of his fellow police officers will work the gift-wrap station at the neighboring Hickory Barnes & Noble from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm. They will also be collecting donations for the charity Harrison instituted called Santa Cops. 

Harrison will talk about the book and the charity on Hickory’s First Talk radio show on WHKY AM at 8:30 am on December 3.
 

David F. Giannetto, author of The Decoy Artist: America’s Last Hunter-Carver ($39.95), will interview on WVTF FM, the local NPR affiliate for Roanoke, VA. A museum exhibit based on the author’s book will be on display through February of 2011 at Tuckerton Seaport in Tuckerton, NJ.

John Chandler Griffin, author of Mr. Lincoln and His War ($24.95) will interview with Dixie Broadcasting 
on December 8 at 10:00 pm.
