Noteworthy Events


Edie Hand, coauthor of The Genuine Elvis: Photos and Untold Stories about the King ($14.95), will give a seven-minute TV interview on Thursday, January 28 at 11:30 am CST on Daytime Alabama, the midday show on the Birmingham NBC affiliate WVTM-TV Channel 13.


Sal Sunseri, coauthor of The P&J Oyster Cookbook ($35.00), and contributor Chef Robert Barker 
will appear on ABC 26’s Good Morning New Orleans for a cooking demo and discussion. 
The segment will air on Monday, January 18, during the 6:00 am hour.



Stacey Harris
, author of The Diabetic Pastry Chef ($24.95) 
will be interviewed 
on the “Bulldog and the Rude Awakening Show,” 
on Ocean 98.1 FM WOCM, in Ocean City, Maryland. 
The interview will be broadcast on Friday, January 15, at 8:00 am.
 

On January 15, Jeff Dwyer, author of Ghost Hunter’s Guide to California’s Wine Country ($15.95 pb), 
will give an interview with Contact Talk Radio host Vaishali.

Maybe it is true that they don’t make cars like they used to. Elizabeth Schlappi, 
the author of
Roy Acuff: The Smoky Mountain Boy ($14.95 pb), 
has had only one car her whole life. She calls her 1958 Chevrolet Impala sport coupe, Yankee. 
With only 183,000 miles, he’s had one coat of paint and several transmissions. 
The seventy-two-year-old Schlappi also had power steering installed to make driving easier for her.
